A Month Of Firsts!

It’s been a crazy six months since our cross Atlantic move and Lee and I are blown away by the welcome we’ve received in Arundel and by the love and support of family and all our friends (old and new).  When we set out on this journey – first restaurant, first joint adventure, first brand – we came to it with examples set of incredibly high standards in our careers and have launched with every determination to meet them ourselves. We hope to be able to draw upon all that and create a comfortable restaurant for guests of all backgrounds and ages to enjoy great food and service in.  February was also a big month for our first Valentine’s weekend, first exclusive use Wine Dinner, first Wine Wednesday, Smaller Plates menu launch and our Month of Love offers – on top of newsletter and social media feeds, back office and some immensely busy weekends – but wow it’s been fun!

The TPT blog will be true notes from the heart.  A ‘diary’ of sorts to keep everyone up to date with life behind the scenes of a fledgling family-owned restaurant.  We’ll try to keep the posts coming regularly (2 five year olds and busy periods permitting!) and will be throwing in lots of industry insight, personal inspirations, food love, supplier snippets and a recipe or 2 along the way for you to try at home, so please come along for the ride…we promise it won’t be boring!

March will be all about getting the patio ready for Spring, celebrating the Easter opening of the beautiful Arundel Castle, the introduction of our growing young team and the launch of the private dining room and Chef’s Table!  Since arrival, re-fit and opening, we’ve been through tears of both joy and frustration (and utter exhaustion at times!), but we’re still standing proud and looking forward to the abundance Spring brings, its fabulous produce and hopefully some sun.  We do hope you’ll join us…’s to seconds and thirds!
